Technology has helped us communicate in the business world a lot. It has also made it a lot faster. Take Google Docs for example. Before the internet and e-mail everyone had to mail a document to someone, which would take a few days. If the receiver wanted to make any suggestions they would either have to write them on the document or re-write the document. After E-mail came along it was nice because you could attach the document and send it to a lot of people. Each person could adjust it as they wanted and after sending it back the the receiver he or she could make all the needed changes.
Now we have Google Docs. With Google Docs you can send the same document to a lot of people, and each user can watch the others make changes in real time. Google Docs also has a side task bar that allows you to chat with the other users online so that everyone can come to a conclusion on how it should look while the document is being worked on.
Google Docs is just a small slice of the technology pie. Cellphones, texting, and Skype have also made business communication better and easier to do. As technology progresses it will only improve the way we communicate in the business world.

Why I Chose to Blog.
Social Networking has flooded american homes like few products have in the past. The average teen spends about 31 a week on social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter (www.xmms.org) "Stay at home" moms on average spend over three hours a day (which is roughly 21 hours a week) on these same sites. Social Networking sites have slowly crowded out traditional forms of entertainment such as reading and watching tv. The New York Times, on their website nytimes.com reported a 9% drop in sales this last year.
If you want people to hear about your business then you have to advertise where they are looking. A blog is a powerful tool for a company to let tell it's followers about what it feels is important in a way that people enjoy. it is also a chance to less formally get to know your customers and clients. People seem to open themselves up once they get online. You can also link your blog to your companies Facebook and Twitter account giving yourself even more exposure.
Good advertising is going where the people and and advertising in a way that people enjoy. It is proven fact that people are on the internet and that they enjoy it. If you want to reach the most people then you have to digitize your company and advertise with blogs and with social networks.

First Listing
Last friday I got my first listing as a Real Estate Agent! My dad is an orthodontist and owns the attached rentals to his office. A month or so ago one of his tenants went out of business and we have finally decided to put it back on the market. It's really a nice place, about 600 square feet with a few side rooms and wheel chair accessible. It's located on the corner of 200 north and 200 east which is right below the LDS temple so it has a great view and is really easy to find.
It's been really nice to finally get "the first" over with. Now I feel I've got a little under my belt and I can get back to finding people who want to buy or sell their homes as well as find someone for my dads rental!

About Me
I was introduced to Real Estate through a friend at a career fair in the spring of 2010. I spent that summer studying for the Utah Real Estate test and passed it that July. Shortly after I started working with @Home Realty Network. Since then I have changed my major at USU to Business Administration in order to better prepare myself to be a real estate agent. I also have spent many hours on the streets getting to know Cache valley better and learning the pro's and con's in it's housing industry. I have lived in cache valley since I was three and I feel this gives me an advantage in the field because I know the people and I know it's strengths.
@Home has also given me a lot advantages in the field. Last year @Home Realty Network sold homes faster than any other brokerage in Utah. They also have the most realtors and sold their homes for a higher percentage of the original listing price than any other brokerage. If you want your home to sell quickly and for the most money you best bet is to list with one of their agents.
